It is the spiritual responsibility of every Christian to PRAY FERVENTLY for the Middle Belt region of Nigeria.
As can be seen from the map, the entire Middle Belt of Nigeria lies in the area of contest between opposing religious beliefs.
The only solution to the crisis in Plateau State, and indeed the entire Middle Belt, is prayers. The crisis in the Middle Belt is sparked by opposing spiritual powers.
The Nigerian church must commence immediate and heartfelt intercession for Plateau State as well as for all the other states in the Middle Belt.
Christians are called upon now to develop a national and global view of the church. The traditional view of focusing attention only on the local assembly and on the denomination is not helping anybody. The body of Christ is greater than any local assembly. Whatever affects Christians in the Middle Belt and in the northern parts of the nation, affects every Christian in the nation, and indeed, in the whole world..
“And whether one member suffer, all the members suffer with it; or one member be honoured, all the members rejoice with it. Now ye are the body of Christ, and members in particular.” 1 Cor. 12:26-27
Christians should make the religious crisis situation in the Middle Belt and in the northern part of the nation a consistent major prayer point at all Church meetings, particularly during vigils.
“I have set watchmen upon thy walls, O Jerusalem, which shall never hold their peace day nor night: ye that make mention of the Lord, keep not silence, And give him no rest, till he establish, and till he make Jerusalem a praise in the earth.” Isaiah 62:6-7
