The first escaped Chibok schoolgirls to successfully attend and complete an American High School graduated last night in the United States Capital. The two girls known simply by their first names Debbie and Grace graduated after completing junior year (11th grade) and senior year (12 grade) at a prestigious private international school in the Washington metro area in America.
A Group, under the auspices of “Southern Kaduna APC Youth,” has called on the Kaduna State Governor to dissolve management of the Kaduna State University (KASU) with immediate effect, as their action in closing and relocating the Kafanchan Campus of the University is capable of widening the existing gap between the predominant Muslim North and Christian South.

On 15th April 2017, at about 7:00 pm, an attack was launched by Fulani militias in Asso village, Jema’a local government area of Kaduna state. The attack came when the people were in the church for Easter vigil celebration. The killers took advantage of the event by sporadically shooting at the faithful killing at least 12 persons on the spot with many injured.
The Christian Association of Nigeria has protested against the participation of the country in the Islamic Solidarity Sports Federation which had commenced in Azerbaijan, describing it as illegal.
The organisation therefore demanded that the Federal Government should immediately withdraw Nigeria’s contingents from the tournament.

ABUJA— Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, yesterday, demanded that the Department of State Services, DSS, tendered a written apology to four members, Board of Trustees of CAN Trustfund who were detained on the orders of its director-general.
Director of Legal and Public Affairs in CAN, Kwamkur Samuel, in a protest letter to the Director-General of DSS, obtained by journalists, in Abuja, reiterated the body’s commitment to dialogue on any issue for peace to reign in the country. Kwamkur said DSS should be more circumspect in dealing with the Body of Christ in Nigeria, if not for any other reason, but to ensure and promote the confidence of the average Nigerian Christian in the government of the day.
About ten years after leaving office as Minister of Federal Capital Territory, FCT, the Senate FCT Committee Probe, which compelled Nasir El-Rufai to refund N32 billion allegedly missing from proceeds in the sale of Federal Government houses, but which was not implemented, has been brought to front burner.
The recommendations of the Senate Committee on FCT, which probed the affairs of the ministry of FCT administration under El-Rufai, alleged that the minister sold most of the government houses to himself and his cronies, and made to sign 100 Certificates of Occupant on the eve of his departure from office.
