The Selective Closure of Schools In Southern Kaduna

It has become imperative to raise the alarm on the continued, deliberate and unwarranted closure of the Kafanchan Campus of the Kaduna State University (KASU) and the College of Education Gidan Waya. The Kafanchan Campus of the Kaduna State University was closed down on the 19th of December, 2016 and has remained closed since.

Catholic Archbishop of Kaduna and Metropolitan Kaduna Ecclesiastical Province, KPC, Most Rev. Matthew M. Ndagoso, Thursday, said the killings in Southern Kaduna are part of the larger historical policies of exclusionpursued by successive governments in Northern Nigeria against Southern Kaduna and its people.

HURIWA to DSS: Stop Persecution of Christian Leaders

Non-Governmental organisation, Human Writers Association of Nigeria (HURIWA) has asked the Department of State Services under the leadership of Alhaji Lawal Musa Daura to halt the harassment of Christian leaders by its operatives.

In a statement, the National Coordinator, Comrade Emmanuel Onwubiko and the National Media Affairs Director Miss Zainab Yusuf condemned as “selective persecution and harassment”, the recent interrogation of National leadership of Christian Association of Nigeria over a global campaigns to attract funds to rebuild churches destroyed by Boko haram terrorists in North East. 

DSS Quizzes Ex-CBN Dept Gov, CAN Leaders on B’Haram Video

Four key members of the organisation’s BoT, who are also leaders of National Christian Elders Forum, were quizzed for four hours on Tuesday evening at the DSS headquarters in Abuja, following a video by CAN Trust Fund soliciting funds for CAN to rebuild churches destroyed by Boko Haram insurgents in the North-East.

Among those that were interrogated by the DSS were a former Chief of General Staff, Lt. Gen. Joshua Dogonyaro (retd.), representing   TEKAN/ECWA bloc of CAN; a retired High Court Judge, Justice Kalajine Anigbogu, representing the Christian Council of Nigeria bloc; Mrs. Osaretin Demuren, representing the Organisation of African Instituted Churches and a former Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Mr. Tunde Lemo, representing the Christian Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria and Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria.

Once again the Southern Kaduna Peoples' Union (SOKAPU) has had to painfully send out condolences to the murdered people of Goska village in Jema’a Local Government Area of Kaduna State. Ironically, on a day that our people ought to be joyously celebrating the Christmas festivities, was the day they were reduced to burying their loved ones, treating the wounded in hospitals and coping with a fresh batch of internally displaced people of Goska village whose houses were burnt down.

I bring you greetings in the precious name of our Redeemer and Savior Jesus Christ, Amen. I have been directed by the President of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) Rev. Dr. Samson Olasupo A Ayokunle to bring to your attention the on-going ethnic/religious cleansing of Nigerian Christians in general and those of southern Kaduna in particular in the last few weeks. 

Suspected Fulani herdsmen kill 15 in Kaduna

About 15 persons have been reportedly killed, while several others sustained various degrees of injuries during a fresh attack by terrorists in Ungwan Rana, Gadani village, Gwagwada District of Chikun local government area of Kaduna State.

Conscience Triumph reports that the communities under Gwagwada District had recently faced sporadic attacks by terrorists suspected to be Fulani herdsmen.
