The General Overseer of Christ Evangelical Intercessory Fellowship Ministry, CEIFM, Pastor Yohanna Buru, has embarked on empowering some women, who were directly victims of Boko Haram from North-East.

The victims, who are now living in North–Western Nigeria with their families, are being empowered so as to engage themselves in some useful business ventures, with the sole aim of fighting poverty, unemployment, hunger and other socio-economic challenges.

  • Colonel Hammed Ali and the Nigerian Senate

    hamid_ali

Retired Colonel Hameed Ali, the Comptroller General of the Nigerian Customs Service, is a proud and stubborn man. His disdain for others and insufferable arrogance is not only vexatious to the spirit but also downright nauseating.

Someone should remind him that the Holy Bible says "the Lord resists the proud and exalts the humble". Another should tell him that, according to Greek mythology, nemesis always follows hubris. If he doubts that he should find out what happened to a character called Icarus.

A fortnight ago, a Rapid Response Fact-Finding Mission (RRFFM) from the Diaspora visited Nigeria and in addition to the South East IPOB inquiry also visited North Central Nigeria to investigate the latest massacre by Killer Herdsmen.

In part two of its interim report and observations, the RRFFM finds as a fact:

    1. Fulani Herdsmen attacked and killed a confirmed number of 21 people in the Miango area of Plateau state in September
    1. About 11 of the victims were children including in some cases siblings from one family and a mother and child

    3. The North, Which North?

      mosque_twilight

We have lived with this myth for far too long. We have tolerated and accepted this political deception for as long as anyone can remember. But the myth has to be exposed for what it really is. The lie must be consigned to the dustbin.  The mask has been removed. For too long people speak of Hausa-Fulani. The truth, of course, is that the so called Hausa Fulani as a person or human being does not exist. You cannot be Ijaw-Igbo or Hausa-Gwari. You are either an Ijaw or an Igbo! As closely related the Isokos and Uhrobos are you cannot have an Isoko-Uhrobo as a person. Egbas and Ijebus are within the same linguistic bracket, but you do not have an Ijebu-Egba. You are either Ijebu or Egba. In the same vein, you are either Hausa or Fulani. You cannot be both!

    6. UPDATE: THE CHALLENGES OF HELPING PERSECUTED CHRISTIANS

      destroyed_church

During a service while visiting my home church in Abuja, the minister challenged us to set monthly goals we want to achieve in 2017. Well that was easy. If you recall my end of year news update, I had pledged to help get Favor, the one-eyed girl, medical attention after the brutal attack on her family in north central Nigeria.  However an unplanned reunion in northeast was to make my trip to Nigeria quite remarkable.
